“Furukawa” was built in the first year of Keio (1865) in the Edo period, and was renovated from the residence of Furukawaya Sobei, who was the most successful Kitamae-bune ship owner in the Obama domain and was the captain of the Kitamae-bune.

The “Tsuda Main House” was renovated from a Japanese-style confectionery shop built in 1914, which was familiar to the people of Obama. There is a spacious living/dining room and a bedroom with tatami mats, making it possible to accommodate a large group of guests.

The “Tsuda Kura” is a renovated warehouse belonging to a machiya townhouse that was once a confectionery shop, built in 1914.Visitors can feel the history of the building through the earthen walls that still bear the marks of preparing Japanese sweets, and the massive beams that support the storehouse.

“Miyake" is a Meiji period machiya townhouse facing the approach to Hachiman Shrine. Close to the sea and within walking distance of JR Obama Station and Wakasa Fisherman's Wharf, it is ideal for enjoying a city tour of Obama.

“Taniguchi” is a renovated 90-year-old townhouse built along the old Tango Kaido road that is part of Obama's history. The earthen floor leading from the entrance, and the courtyard viewed from the porch, provide a comfortable atmosphere of the old days.

For those arriving by train or bus, we offer a cab pick-up option (for a fee) from JR Obama Station to the front desk, and the accommodation. This service provides access from the station to the accommodation, without worrying about the weather or waiting time.
